Randy Bowen Biography

Randy Bowen is acclaimed as one of the leading sculptors of pop-culture characters.

He has always been fascinated with characters from comics and classic B-monster movies. His talent was evident at an early age and he began doing artwork commercially at age twelve.

By his twenties he was the director of Product Development at Dark Horse comics, and was launching the collectibles divisions for Marvel and DC Comics as well. His company Bowen Designs Incorporated was the first company of its kind to focus on characters from comics and science fiction franchises.

His unique subjects range from Mickey Mouse to Superman; Spider-Man to Predator and Aliens…. His statue of Superman can be seen in every episode of the TV show Seinfeld. He has worked and collaborated with many luminaries in the field of comic books, including: Frank Frazetta, Mike Mignola, Frank Miller, Matt Wagner, Neil Gaiman, and many others.
